Carter will probably feel a bit weird when he finally meets Deadpool, seeing how Deadpool was planning on killing him as part of his experiment.....

No worries, in the end he didn't do it. Basically Kyle was offering himself up to be killed for the experiment because of his martyr complex and then Carter was like "no, you're my best friend. You die, I die!"
And Deadpool was like "okay! I'll kill Carter!"
