Malcolm's listens to the synth's story, his brow furrowed. "It sounds like an experiment gone wrong... an unethical one at that." As a man with a degree in psychology, he's pretty aware of the dangers of unethical experiments.

"Can synths die?" he asks, hoping that it doesn't upset DiMA. They obviously have long lifespans, since DiMA indicated that the events with his brother happened over a hundred years ago. Malcolm's just not sure if it's really "death". Was he ever really alive?
