DiMA's smile widened into something more genuine at Malcolm's insistent that he can think and feel. It was nice meeting a stranger who didn't brush him off as a simple machine, especially one not already in the know about his kind.

"I appreciate the concern, but you needn't worry about me. This was well over a hundred years ago. I've had plenty of time to process everything."

As well as anyone could process trauma they remembered as clearly as the day it happened and was confronted with the evidence every time they looked in a mirror or saw their only family member.
